      With over 9000 students and more than 400 full-time and part-time professors, the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Science combined stand out as an enriching environment in which professors, students and community partners contribute to our innovative programs.

      If you are interested in a career related to teaching or the design and delivery of educational programming, this microprogram will offer you the opportunity to acquire a strong foundation in Science Education. The courses can be counted as your elective courses at the 3000 and 4000 level in your undergraduate program. The combination of these courses is intended to develop your understanding and application of the scholarship of teaching and learning to your own scientific discipline.

      Our microprogram aims to bolster community engagement in science education issues and to impart students with qualifications that will advance and enrich their career.

      The faculty’s location in the heart of Ottawa offers you an exceptional range of programs in both official languages, which enables you to fully enjoy all the benefits of Canada's capital.

      This program is currently offered in English only, and is governed by the academic regulations in effect for undergraduate studies.

      Admission on a competitive basis – limited spaces

      Science students must have had successfully passed a minimum of 21 units offered by the Faculty of Science (approximately 2 years of study in science) with a GPA of 8.0 or more at the time of application.
