YDD 2104 Yiddish Culture, Literature, and Film (3 units)
A study of Yiddish culture, cinema and literature in its major and minor centres worldwide. Discussion of key cultural concepts and major themes in Yiddish films and literary works as well as the social and cultural contexts behind their creation.
Course Component: Lecture
No knowledge of Yiddish required.
