      Please note that admission to the Microprogram Law and Technology is suspended until further notice.

      The registration process for a Microprogram depends on your student status.

      Students already admitted and enrolled in a graduate program

      Students wishing to pursue a graduate program must apply for, and be admitted to, their graduate program before they enroll in a second Graduate Microprogram identified within their existing program.

      If you have already enrolled in a graduate studies program and would like to add the Microprogram in Law and Technology to your program of study , contact the graduate studies administration at etudgrad@uottawa.ca.

      Non-degree students

      Students pursuing a Graduate Microprogram, without being admitted to or intending to complete a graduate program, must obtain the prior approval of the academic unit offering the Graduate Microprogram.

      Students must meet the following eligibility:

        * those with an LL.L., LL.B., J.D. or its equivalent;
        * practicing lawyers or other legal practitioners ;
        * students registered in a graduate program in law at another university;
        * those who are enrolled in postdoctoral training in law.

      Students who would like to enroll into the Microprogram in law and technology must contact the graduate studies administration at etudgrad@uottawa.ca and submit the following documents:

        * A letter (no more than 200 words in length) explaining how this course will contribute to your professional or academic development;
        * A curriculum vitae;
        * All your university transcripts (unofficial copies are acceptable);
        * Registration form duly completed.

        The 6 credits correspond to the following two courses:                    
        DCL 7318                                                Law for Technology  3 Units
        DCL 7319                                                Technology for Law  3 Units
        

        Students enrolled in the Law and Technology microprogram as a special student must meet the requirements that apply to the courses in which they enroll, such as prerequisites, attendance requirements, assignments, examinations and passing grades. Any failing grade will be recorded on the transcript.

        Special Students pursuing a Microprogram in Law and Technology may enroll in no more than six course units per term, and will be enrolled part time.
