      * Program Requirements

      Anticipated date for this program to receive its first cohort is September 1, 2026. Transfer students coming from another nursing program are not eligible for admission to our nursing program.

      The Honours Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a four-year program. It is offered in both official languages. It seeks to prepare the next generation of nurses to offer quality nursing care and to assume leadership within the health care system.

      Its mandate is to prepare generalist nurses:

        * Who can work in any place offering nursing care,
        * Who have developed effective communication skills,
        * Who use their critical thinking and analytical skills at work and
        * Who are open to lifelong learning.

      This program also leads to graduate studies (MSc, MSc — NP, PhD) in nursing sciences at the University of Ottawa.

      This program is offered in English and in French.

      A French or an English immersion stream is also available with this program.

      The passing grade for all nursing (NSG) courses is C+.

      Enrolment status options: This is a full-time program.

      Please enrol for all your courses within the clinical enrolment dates registration deadlines.
